Not sure when to start wedding dress shopping?

Hi, I'm Caroline, manager here at LA Bridal House. If I had a pound for every time a bride asked me "Am I too early?" or "Am I too late?", I'd be on a beach somewhere!

So let's clear it up.

The sweet spot is around 9–12 months before your wedding.

That might sound like loads of time, but here's why it matters. Once you've found your dress, it often needs to be ordered in. Then there's time for alterations, so it fits like it was made for you. Fittings usually start a couple of months before the big day. Starting early means none of that has to feel rushed.

What if I'm already engaged and itching to look?

Honestly? Come in! Lots of brides love an early appointment just to get a feel for styles. You might walk in convinced you want a big ball gown and leave in love with something sleek and fitted. It happens all the time, and that's half the fun.

What if my wedding is sooner than that?

Please don't panic. Get in touch and tell us your date, and we'll be honest about what's possible. [Add any info on off-the-rail or sample dresses available to buy on the day.]

My top tip: Book your appointment before you've seen a hundred dresses online. Pinterest is wonderful, but nothing compares to actually trying dresses on. The dress that looks "meh" on a screen can be the one that takes your breath away in person.

If you're starting to think about your dress, I'd love to meet you. [Book your appointment here.]
